The Doha Forum is an annual leading conference, hosted by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. It aims at discussing critical political, economic, social, financial, strategic and human matters on issues regarding democratization, security, human development and security for energy, the global economy and cooperation. During its 16 editions, the event hosted many heads of state and governments, eminent political thinkers, decision-makers and members of parliament, renowned businessmen, academics, media figures and international organizations from several countries both from the region and the rest of the world.
