Sarah Toumi

Sarah Toumi, age 28, is a social entrepreneur, and Ashoka Fellow, Echoing Green Fellow, Young Leader at Skoll Oxford Forum. She started her first NGO at the age of 11 for children of her village in Tunisia. In 2016, she was included in the ‘30 under 30’ list by Forbes as one of the most influential social entrepreneurs under 30 years old, and in the Forbes Africa Top 30 Young Talents to Follow; she was also ranked by the World Bank as one of the 5 most influential young women working for women rights in the MENA region. With her programme “Acacias for all”, she is reversing the desertification process while offering economic opportunities to farmers and young people from rural areas.
